You’ve got until the end of the month to prepare for these, but there are some actions that need to be taken to ensure you don’t miss out.
First off, I will be a panelist at Con-Volution 2016, a Bay Area, California, science fiction convention running September 30th-October 2 in the Bay Area, California. My books will also be available in the dealers room in case you want to pick up a copy or two. I will post more about this convention once I get my schedule, but the pre-registration closes on the 18th, so I didn’t want you to miss out on the discount. At the door prices will be higher, and the lines longer.
This year the theme is The Age of Monsters and the special guests are Lee Moyer and Anne Bishop. There will be discussions on everything from monsters in speculative fiction (of course) to writing, publishing, art, hands-on workshops, and more. It should be a lot of fun and I hope to see you there. http://www.con-volution.com/2016/events/2016-con-volution-prereg/
My second appearance will be virtual, so open to everyone worldwide, and you can sign up for reminders today to make sure you don’t miss it. I will be taking over one hour of a day-long Facebook release party for The Queen of Diamonds, a noir steampunk novel in the Red Dog Conspiracy. The party runs from 9 am-9 pm (Central Time) on October 1st. I will be taking a break from Con-Volution to host the 7 pm Central (5 pm Pacific) hour answering questions, asking questions, holding a giveaway or two, and whatever else I might come up with between now and then. You can read my review of book 1, and I have enjoyed The Queen of Diamonds already, though my review is not posted yet. Sign up here to see who else will be there and learn more about The Queen of Diamonds.
My third, and final, appearance is the reason I really needed a clone. My books will be appearing at the 3rd annual Sands-Reno Comic Con on October 1-2 here in Reno. The Pynhavyn Press booth organized by Rene Averett has graciously offered to make my books available for purchase along with several other genre authors so be sure to stop by and check out what’s on offer. Come one, come all. You’re invited to whichever event(s) you can swing.
