I have been a fan of marionettes since I was little, pausing in front of performers and creators to watch the puppets come alive wherever I ran across them. This fascination might even have influenced the descriptions of mechanical men in The Steamship Chronicles, and especially Safe Haven.

So, it should come as no surprise that this video of a marionette and his handler, Ricky Syers, caught my attention. They do a lovely job of engaging people…and even wildlife.
