I’m off on vacation this week, but I didn’t want to leave you without something to think about. This is a video, something I usually restrict to my Things That Make Me Smile posts. This particular tale, though, is a wonderful illustration of story through poetry brought to life in image and music. It’s not a happy tale, though like some of my darker ones, it ends with a flash of hope. What it offers is drama, pure and intense. The poem tells a tale of horror and determination, as you’ll see, and the images give the words flesh of a sort. Watch it as an exercise in craft, or just watch to be entranced and absorbed. Either way, enjoy.
