Marie Force, a well-known author in both traditional and indie circles, decided to go directly to the readers with a survey of questions she, and a bunch of other authors, wanted answered. She ran the survey in 2013 and had over 2900 respondents while the answers were quite interesting. You can see the results if you’re curious.

However, the time has come to ask again. There are a few new questions, but mostly the same ones which reveals where things have changed or stayed the same.

Whether you’ve read one book this year or one hundred, and regardless of genre or length, please pop over to this Survey Monkey survey and help authors understand where readers fall on critical questions. Influence a wave of authors to meet your reading needs. The survey will be open until June 6th, but better sooner rather than later so it doesn’t slip your mind.

I haven’t had the chance to take it yet, but I will in the next couple of days. Judging from the first run, though, you’ll have the opportunity to provide specific responses when the selections don’t give you enough options as well. I’m looking forward to seeing what the results are and how they have changed.
