Hair (Digital Art)
A good step-by-step lesson on making hair textures for 3D art. I use GIMP and did some tweaking to get a result closer to Photoshop, but this is a great starting point.

Thankyou for linking to my post 🙂
Just gone and bought Shafter too. 🙂 Looks interesting. 🙂
I certainly hope you enjoy it :). And thanks for your post. I’ve been buying other people’s 3D products in DAZ3D for my covers, but I’m on the cusp of learning how to do hair because there just aren’t enough Regency Era hair styles available for the newer models. But to do that, I have to learn all the steps, making the templates being one.
I’m looking forward to reading it. In respect to my post, I am happy that you found something useful in it. I am very much the amateur who is teaching themselves and taking others along for the ride. 🙂 The best thing about doing so is the people that I meet online. And Regency hairstyles! I recently got into the TV series Taboo set during that time. Great television. An interesting era. Thanks again. I will let you know what I thought of the novel when I read it. 🙂
Cool. I’ll have to check Taboo out. Depending on the timeframe and the historical accuracy, it may give me some ideas for hairstyles to attempt. It’s an interesting era indeed.
Taboo is very dark and grim. I’m not sure as to its historical accuracy, but it has real ambiance.
I see what you mean about the dark. I looked it up and that’s a side of the Regency I don’t touch too heavily in my romances, for some reason, but when it has two historians arguing over the portrayal of the East India Company, it’s at least trying to be accurate :). Still sounds like a fun series to watch.
